This genuine Volkswagen/Audi PCV Oil Separator is designed for EA888 Gen 1 and Gen 2 2.0 TSI/TFSI engines. It regulates crankcase ventilation, manages internal pressure, and recirculates oil vapors to prevent sludge, carbon buildup, and oil consumption issues.
Over time, the internal diaphragm and valves can wear or clog, causing rough idle, lean codes, boost leaks, or excessive oil use. Replacing this PCV unit every ~100,000 km is recommended, especially on tuned vehicles where crankcase pressure increases.
