At VAG Garage Australia PTY LTD, we are committed to complying with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). All goods sold come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. However, due to the nature of automotive parts and modifications, the following warranty terms and conditions apply.
Under the Australian Consumer Law:
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a *major failure*, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage to a product within one year from time of purchase.
You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does NOT amount to a major failure.
This applies ONLY where the product has been used in accordance with its intended purpose and has not been modified or damaged through misuse, neglect, or improper installation.
1. Warranty Terms
What's covered:
- Manufacturer defects or faults in materials and workmanship.
- Products supplied in incorrect condition (wrong part, damaged on arrival, etc.).
What's not covered:
- Any damage caused by incorrect installation or installation by unqualified individuals.
- Normal wear and tear or cosmetic blemishes that do not affect product performance.
- Issues arising from misuse, racing applications, tuning, or improper handling.
- Parts fitted to non-compatible vehicles or modified outside of original specifications.
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including labour or installation costs.
- Liability that has arisen from modification that voids warranty including ECU Tuning, Car body damage from modifications such as replacing aftermarket badges without a professional.
2. Warranty Duration
All warranties are manufacturer-backed only. VAG Garage Australia PTY LTD does **not offer in-house warranties** unless stated in writing. Warranty duration is based on the **manufacturer's own terms**, which may vary by brand or product.
3. Claim Procedure
To lodge a warranty claim, email info@vaggarage.com.au with:
- Full name and order number
- Description of the issue
- Proof of purchase (receipt or invoice)
- Clear images/videos of the product and fault
- Installer details (including ABN and qualifications if applicable)
A warranty claim submission does not guarantee approval. The outcome is at the discretion of the manufacturer. VAG Garage acts as a facilitator only.
3. Shipping & Handling
The customer is responsible for all shipping costs related to warranty claims, including return and replacement freight. We recommend using insured and tracked shipping. Warranty parts must be returned for assessment before a replacement or credit is considered.
4. Non - Warranty Returns
If a product is not faulty and a return is requested for other reasons (e.g. incorrect purchase), please refer to our **Returns Policy**. Standard restocking fees and conditions apply.
5. Limitation of Liability
VAG Garage Australia PTY LTD is NOT liable for:
- Damage to vehicles, personal injury, or other losses resulting from the use or installation of any part
- Professional labour costs, downtime, or third-party charges
- Any misuse of performance parts on public roads or legal consequences resulting from such use
