DINAN – High-Performance Heat Exchanger – BMW M2 / M3 / M4 (15–21)
Keep your S55 engine running cooler, longer, and more efficiently with the Dinan High-Performance Heat Exchanger. Designed to combat heat soak — the hidden enemy of power — this upgrade delivers consistent performance where the factory system falls short.
In stock form, the F8X-series cooling system heat-soaks after just a few pulls, forcing the ECU to cut power as intake temperatures climb. Dinan’s upgraded heat exchanger solves this with a 60 % larger core volume, 19 % greater face area, and a 40 mm-thick core (vs 24 mm stock). The result: dramatically reduced coolant and intake-air temperatures, increased intercooler efficiency, and reliable power delivery even after extended hard driving.
Engineered for maximum efficiency, the 40 mm thickness was chosen to maintain proper airflow to the main radiator. During testing, the Dinan system achieved an average 9 °C reduction in water temperature to the intercooler, translating to an average 6 °C cooler intake-air temperature and gains of +10 HP and +20 lb-ft of torque without altering the engine tune.
Built for real-world conditions, this heat exchanger is rubber-mounted for vibration isolation and track-tested for consistent performance under extreme loads — the perfect solution for both street and circuit use.
