Rubber handles tension, compression, and shear, while polyurethane mainly works under compression. Rubber also does not pack or deform like polyurethane, delivering longer-lasting performance and comfort—ideal for suspension components under constant articulation.

High-Durometer Rubber vs. Polyurethane:
034Motorsport uses high-durometer vulcanized rubber because it handles tension, compression, and shear better than polyurethane, which mainly works only in compression. Rubber also doesn’t pack, deform, or wear out as quickly, giving you longer-lasting and more consistent performance.
Technical Insight:
Factory VW/Audi strut mounts often squeak when paired with coilovers or performance dampers. This happens because the soft OEM rubber allows the steel center cup to move. Track Density Strut Mounts use much stiffer rubber and a redesigned body to stop this movement, eliminating the noise and improving suspension control.
One vehicle requires two mounts. We recommend replacing the strut mount bearings at the same time.
