ECS Tuning - Steel Oil Pan Kit
Many MQB vehicles come equipped with a factory plastic oil pan. While effective for everyday use, plastic oil pans are more susceptible to cracking when impacted by road debris or obstacles, potentially leading to costly oil leaks. In comparison, a stamped steel oil pan is generally more resistant to damage and is more likely to dent rather than crack under similar conditions.
This kit provides everything needed to replace your factory plastic oil pan with a durable stamped steel alternative that bolts directly into place.

Stamped Steel Oil Pan with Drain Plug

Installation Notes:

Oil pan bolts should be tightened to 8 Nm (6 ft-lbs), then turned an additional 45°.

Tighten bolts in a crisscross pattern to ensure even sealant distribution and proper sealing.

Oil level sensor hardware should be tightened to approximately 80 in-lbs.
Upgrade to the added durability and peace of mind of a steel oil pan. For additional engine protection, pair this kit with the ECS Magnetic Drain Plug (Part Number: ES2784400) to help capture harmful metallic particles and reduce premature engine wear.
Note: For non-MQB applications, this kit functions as a direct oil pan replacement.
